SALT and Confused

Not to be mixed up with Dazed and Confused.

Kate and I walked up from the bus stop today. She was complaining about being hungry and being cold. She had sprung out of bed just minutes before shrieking that she wanted to walk down the street with Reilly, Nandi and me. It had to have been a rude awakening to the system given that it’s not yet 40 degrees outside. So back to the hunger and the cold, I tried to distract her and asked if she had been writing her letters at school and if she had written any words lately. This was her response: “Ummm, salt… which I really like. You shake it like this motions shaking a salt shaker aggressively and then it erases off the paper, it’s really great Mom.”

It’s almost an hour later and I’m still confused.
